Selinsgrove, Pa. — Wagging Tail Coffee Co., a beloved veteran-owned coffee shop, is set to open its fourth location in Selinsgrove early next year. The new shop will be located on North Market Street, with an expected opening date in January 2024.
Meghan Solomon, who co-owns the business with her husband, Eric, shared that the staff is currently preparing the space for its debut. “We are bringing our beloved acai bowls, freshly baked goods made from scratch, and all our drink specials that everyone loves,” said Meghan in an email. “We are very excited to offer two fun seating areas and Wi-Fi, creating a positive and uplifting environment for visitors to enjoy.”
Founded in 2021, Wagging Tail Coffee Co. opened its first brick-and-mortar location along Route 15 in Allenwood. The business expanded rapidly, adding a second location in Watsontown the following year and a third location in Muncy in April 2023.
The Solomons, who are originally from the Pacific Northwest, drew inspiration for the business after living near Seattle while Eric was stationed at JBLM/Fort Lewis Army base. The couple missed the region’s renowned coffee culture after relocating to Pennsylvania, prompting them to create their own coffee venture.
Before launching their brick-and-mortar shops, the Solomons operated a mobile walk-up trailer from their Watsontown home. The business gained significant traction during the pandemic, leading to the decision to expand into permanent locations.
Known for their dog-friendly atmosphere, Wagging Tail Coffee Co. also offers “pup cups” for canine customers at each location.
The Selinsgrove location will join the company’s growing list of spots where community members can enjoy high-quality coffee, food, and a welcoming atmosphere.
