Boone County welcomed its newest business venture this week as Archer & Co. Roasters celebrated the grand opening of its coffee roasting production facility at 1720 Petersburg Road.
Founded by Northern Kentucky entrepreneurs Mary Beimesch, Liz Elleman, and Wendy Tobergte, Archer & Co. Roasters is rooted in their shared passion for crafting quality coffee and their commitment to family, faith, and fun.
“Congratulations to Mary, Liz, and Wendy on the grand opening of Archer & Co. Roasters,” said Boone County Judge/Executive Gary Moore. “With their leadership, I am confident this women-owned business will excel in delivering ethically sourced, Northern Kentucky-roasted coffee, along with teas and hot cocoa, to customers nationwide.”
Ethically Sourced Coffee and More
Archer & Co. Roasters specializes in premium coffees sourced responsibly from around the world, roasted locally in Boone County. These products, along with a variety of teas and hot cocoa, are available for purchase on their website.
The company also provides customized packaging services for corporate gifts, promotional campaigns, and private labeling. Additionally, they plan to collaborate with local schools, sports teams, and clubs on fundraising initiatives.
The business operates out of a 2,200-square-foot renovated facility leased from Peterbron LLC, where coffee roasting, order processing, and fulfillment are managed.
“As we embark on this journey, our mission is to craft specialty coffees with love, turning your family’s everyday moments into something extraordinary,” said Mary Beimesch, Co-Founder of Archer & Co. Roasters.
Support for Women Entrepreneurs
The co-founders received mentorship and resources from Aviatra, an organization dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs, and from Northern Kentucky University’s BizAccessHub, which provides small businesses with guidance and growth strategies.
“We’re inspired by bold women like Mary, Wendy, and Liz, who are transforming their dreams into reality while giving back to the community,” said Jill Morenz, President & CEO of Aviatra.
According to Dawn Parks, Director of NKU’s BizAccessHub, “Archer & Co. Roasters is more than a coffee business; it’s a testament to family values, creativity, and connection. Supporting these amazing women has been a privilege.”
A Boost to the Local Economy
Archer & Co. Roasters is not just about exceptional coffee; it’s also a significant addition to the local economy.
“Small businesses like Archer & Co. Roasters are the backbone of our community,” said Brent Cooper, President and CEO of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. “We’re excited to see how this venture thrives and continues to drive economic growth in the region.”
Strategic Partnerships and Future Growth
To ensure the highest quality, Archer & Co. Roasters sources green coffee beans from Café Imports, a Minneapolis-based specialty coffee importer. Production equipment and technical expertise are provided by Mill City Roasters, also headquartered in Minneapolis.
The company’s products carry the Kentucky Proud designation, signifying they are grown, raised, or processed in the state. Initially employing three full-time staff members, Archer & Co. Roasters anticipates growth as the brand gains traction.
Archer & Co. Roasters is positioned not just as a coffee supplier but as a symbol of community values and entrepreneurial spirit, bringing exceptional coffee to households across the nation.
