Coffee Planet, a UAE-based specialty coffee company, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the launch of a new initiative aimed at supporting aspiring baristas. The initiative, called Brewing Futures, offers free, hands-on training to individuals passionate about coffee and eager to build a career in the industry.
The Brewing Futures program is designed to make specialty coffee more accessible to everyone, offering comprehensive training led by experienced coffee professionals. Participants will gain practical skills, from mastering basic brewing techniques to learning advanced barista skills.
Coffee Planet CEO, Jamie Brown, shared his excitement about the program, saying, “Reflecting on Brewing Futures, I’m reminded of why we do what we do at Coffee Planet: to create real opportunities for those passionate about coffee and ready to build a career in it.” He added that the energy and drive of the trainees have only strengthened the company’s commitment to empowering aspiring baristas.
The program aims to inspire confidence and excellence in each participant, equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in the competitive world of specialty coffee. Coffee Planet also emphasized that the initiative aligns with its mission to promote the coffee culture and contribute to the growth of both the brand and the community.
Upon completing the program, selected graduates will have the opportunity to join Coffee Planet’s cafes, contributing to the company’s ongoing growth and commitment to quality.
In addition to launching Brewing Futures, Coffee Planet’s success continues to shine. The company was recently named a “UAE Superbrand” at the 19th Annual Superbrands Tribute in Dubai in November 2023. It also received four prestigious industry awards across the Middle East.
Since its founding in 2005, Coffee Planet has become a leading name in the UAE coffee scene. Today, its specialty coffee is served in five-star hotels, airlines, restaurants, and offices. Additionally, Coffee Planet products are available in over 700 retail outlets and can be purchased online, reaching coffee lovers worldwide.
