Frank and Honest, Ireland’s eco-conscious coffee brand, has announced a new affiliate partnership with Hometree, a nature restoration charity focused on creating and conserving native woodlands in Ireland. The brand has pledged €100,000 over the next five years to support Hometree’s mission of addressing Ireland’s biodiversity crisis and combating climate change.
This partnership builds on Frank and Honest’s previous involvement with Hometree through their ‘Plant a Tree’ initiative, which began in 2019. Hometree, established in 2014, started as a community garden project but has since evolved into a leading force in nature restoration, rewilding, and conservation in Ireland.
Hometree’s ambitious Rainforest Project aims to restore 4,000 acres of Ireland’s uplands by creating woodlands, restoring peatlands, and excluding harmful herbivores. Frank and Honest’s support will directly aid in expanding this rewilding effort and regenerating Ireland’s oceanic woodlands, aligning with both organizations’ shared commitment to environmental stewardship.
Kieran Allen, Head of Business Development at Frank and Honest, expressed excitement about the partnership, saying, “We are thrilled to confirm our support for Hometree, a charity we’ve long admired. Helping them create a more sustainable future is central to our mission.” Matt Smith, CEO of Hometree, added, “Frank and Honest’s commitment is crucial to advancing the Rainforest Project. Their genuine dedication to environmental sustainability is vital to our success.”
Frank and Honest Coffee is available at Centra and SuperValu stores nationwide, with its house blend being Rainforest Alliance certified. The brand also offers a 20c discount at participating stores for customers who bring their own reusable cup.
Hometree continues to work towards restoring resilient habitats, integrating community engagement with scientific and environmental practices. Through afforestation, conservation, and education, they aim to nourish Ireland’s landscapes and foster a deeper connection between communities and nature.
