Rising for People Coffee, a local favorite known for its signature coffee flights, is taking the next step in its journey after a major setback. The coffee shop, which currently shares space with Heaven on Earth bakery in South Reno, was severely damaged in May 2025 when a car crashed into the building.
Though both the bakery and coffee shop have since reopened, co-owners Sky Jones and Jesse Abshire saw an opportunity in the disaster. They decided it was time to relocate and expand, planning a new location in MidTown Reno.
Now, the business is reaching out to the community for support to fund the move. All proceeds will help Rising for People Coffee open its new MidTown location.
