Residents of Minot will notice some changes at the Coffee Barn following its recent purchase by Prairie Sky Breads. The business officially opened under new ownership on Thursday, Dec. 1, with a fresh name: Prairie Sky Coffee Barn.
While the overall experience will remain familiar, there are a few changes customers can expect. Jazmine Schultz, the new owner, explained that coffee lovers might notice slight shifts in both the taste and price of the coffee due to rising costs in the industry. Schultz also mentioned that the coffee served will be sourced from local roasters.
She attributed the price increases to external factors such as natural disasters and global events, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which have caused significant hikes in coffee and packaging costs since she started her first business in 2019.
In addition to coffee, Prairie Sky Coffee Barn will continue to offer a selection of baked goods, including scones, cinnamon rolls, and caramel rolls. Schultz also mentioned that the menu will feature cold sandwiches from their bakery, allowing customers to grab a quick lunch alongside their coffee.
Prairie Sky Coffee Barn will be open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
