Coffee#1 has opened its latest café in Northwich, taking over the former Edinburgh Woollen Mill store on Witton Street. This marks the chain’s second location in Cheshire, following its successful expansion across South Wales, South West England, the South Coast, and the Midlands over the past 20 years.
Founded in 2001, Coffee#1 has earned a strong reputation for its high-quality coffee served in a warm and welcoming environment. The new Northwich location employs a team of eight, all dedicated to providing excellent service and creating a cozy space for customers to relax.
Beata Grabowska, area manager for Coffee#1, expressed her excitement about the opening: “We are delighted to be opening our next coffee shop in Northwich. It’s in a great location with a warm community feel, and I’m confident that Coffee#1 will be a perfect fit here.”
The café’s interior is designed to be inviting and vibrant, featuring a living-room atmosphere with illustrations showcasing local history, folklore, and figures. Shelves lined with books add to the space’s homely vibe, making it a perfect spot for relaxing alone or meeting up with friends or family.
Jean-Claude Chaufour, the store manager, added, “My team and I are really looking forward to getting to know our new neighbors and serving our local community.” The store is also dog-friendly and encourages local community groups to host regular meetups and coffee catch-ups in the space.
