Hidden Fortress Roastery Café, located at 125 Hangar Way, will close its doors for good on January 18. However, the café’s owner, Amelia Loftus, reassured customers in an email that the business isn’t disappearing entirely. “We plan to continue roasting coffee however we can,” Loftus wrote. “We’ll also maintain our mobile presence at farmers markets and events, just as we did when we first started. Plus, we’re focused on keeping our Santa Cruz café open, which is really starting to shine!”
In addition to the upcoming closure of the Hangar Way location, Hidden Fortress expanded in July 2024 by opening a kiosk inside Cruzioworks at 877 Cedar St. The kiosk operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering coffee, espresso drinks, cookies, and breakfast burritos.
