Travelers passing through Rotorua Airport will soon have a new place to enjoy freshly brewed coffee, as local favorite Boasters Coffee Roasters prepares to launch The Hangar – Airport Café.
Starting Tuesday, January 21, The Hangar will open as a pop-up café, giving visitors a preview of what’s to come while the café’s space undergoes renovations. The demolition of the existing site is set to begin next week, with the full fit-out and official opening expected by mid-April.
Rotorua Airport’s Chief Executive, Nicole Brewer, expressed excitement over the partnership with Boasters Coffee Roasters, emphasizing the airport’s dedication to showcasing local talent and offering a unique experience to travelers.
“Boasters Coffee Roasters is known for its locally roasted coffee and exceptional service, and we’re excited to welcome them to Rotorua Airport,” Brewer said. “The Hangar represents our commitment to supporting local businesses, providing a warm and welcoming space for both travelers and locals. It’s more than just a place to grab a coffee — it’s a celebration of what Rotorua has to offer.”
As the transformation progresses, The Hangar aims to become a must-visit destination at Rotorua Airport, offering a cozy, local touch to the airport experience.
