After months of renovations, Boomerang Coffee Lounge has officially opened its second location at 309 Jerome St. in Midland.
Owners Maegan and Brett Nowak first launched Boomerang Coffee Lounge in 2021 at 128 Ashman Circle. Thanks to the support of the community, they were able to open the new location. “It’s a different area of the community that we are now able to serve, and that really excites us,” said Brett Nowak.
The new Jerome Street location is situated in the former Subway space next to the BP gas station. In addition to its coffee offerings, the menu includes fresh sandwiches and seasonal baked goods. This location also features a drive-thru, which the Ashman Circle location lacks.
“Everyone is really excited for the drive-thru,” Brett said. “It allows our regulars—especially those with children—to grab their coffee or brunch without having to get out of the car on cold days.”
The Nowaks have added six new employees who have been cross-trained to work at both locations, ensuring that customers will see familiar faces no matter which one they visit.
Although the two locations are only about a mile and a half apart, Brett explained that they serve different parts of the city and distinct community members. “We’re happy that the community is excited for us to serve another area of Midland. It’s a whole different vibe here,” Brett said. “There are people who haven’t heard about Boomerang Coffee yet. We want to help them bounce back better too.”
The new Jerome Street location is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
