Bacha Coffee, a rapidly expanding coffee brand, has opened a new boutique at Hong Kong International Airport, marking a significant step in its growth within travel retail. The new location, which opened in December, is situated in Terminal 1 East Hall and covers 41 square meters, complete with a takeaway corner for busy travelers.
The boutique offers a range of Bacha Coffee’s signature varieties and gifting options, giving passengers the chance to enjoy an exclusive coffee experience. Taha Bouqdib, President & CEO of V3 Gourmet, emphasized that as global travel resumes, the company is focused on expanding its presence in travel retail as part of its global strategy. He added that this new location enhances the brand’s seamless customer experience, which spans retail boutiques, dine-in coffee rooms, takeaway concepts, and e-commerce.
Bacha Coffee’s heritage, dating back to 1910 in Marrakech, is reflected in the boutique’s design, featuring black-and-white chequered marble, saffron-stained porticos, and vibrant zellige mosaics. The store displays ochre-hued canisters filled with 100% Arabica beans, offering guests the opportunity to savor rich aromas.
With over 200 coffees sourced from 35 renowned countries, Bacha Coffee offers a curated selection of single-origin, fine-blended, fine-flavored, and CO2 decaffeinated coffees. The boutique also offers elegantly packaged single-serve Coffee Bag Gift Boxes and loose beans, which are ground to order by in-house Coffee Masters to suit customers’ preferred brewing methods.
Travelers can choose from a variety of hampers or customize their own using the bespoke service. For those in a hurry, the takeaway corner allows customers to enjoy any of the 200 coffees hot or iced, served with vanilla bean-flecked Chantilly Cream and a raw sugar stick. The boutique also features a selection of sweet and savory croissants, as well as other handmade pastries.
