ENDICOTT, N.Y. (WBNG) — Paula’s Coffee House, a local favorite in Endicott, has earned a spot as one of the five finalists in the prestigious New York State Restaurant Association’s RISE Awards, specifically in the category of social media engagement.
Owner Danielle Crooks, who remains uncertain about who nominated her coffee shop, expressed her gratitude and excitement upon receiving the recognition. She attended the awards ceremony at the Albany Capital Center on January 28th, where the ceremony brought together leaders from across New York’s vibrant food and hospitality industry.
The social media award, which honors restaurants for their effective use of platforms to build community connections, share updates, and enhance the overall customer experience, celebrated Paula’s Coffee House for its creative approach to digital engagement. Crooks primarily utilizes Facebook and Instagram to feature daily specials, such as the shop’s “Drink of the Day,” allowing followers a glimpse of the unique and freshly crafted beverages offered each day.
Though Paula’s Coffee House did not claim the top prize, Crooks reflected on the value of the experience. “It’s the first time we’ve been in something that big before, so it was really humbling to be around larger restaurants from all over the state—New York City, Long Island,” she shared. “You get to meet new people, exchange ideas, and it was awesome.”
Since opening in 2021, Paula’s Coffee House has garnered local recognition, but this marks a new chapter of exposure for the growing establishment. Crooks believes the connections and insights gained from the event will help further develop the cafe’s presence and continue building its loyal customer base.
Located at 108 N. Page Street, Paula’s Coffee House is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
