The iconic “I Love You So Much” mural at Jo’s Coffee, located in Austin’s South Congress neighborhood, might just be more famous than the Texas State Capitol. Now, this beloved coffee chain is expanding beyond Austin with its first Houston location, set to open later this week.
Jo’s Coffee will open its new store at 1023 Studewood St. in the Heights on February 14, beginning at 7 a.m. The grand opening will include drip coffee giveaways. The Houston storefront marks the first foray into the city for the popular Austin-based brand.
The menu at Jo’s Coffee will feature a range of coffee shop classics, including cappuccinos, lattes, and cortados. Signature drinks include the iced turbo, a sweet coffee beverage with chocolate and hazelnut, and the Belgian, which combines the iced turbo with cold brew.
For those seeking non-coffee options, Jo’s also offers teas and Italian sodas. The café serves breakfast and lunch, with a menu featuring favorites like breakfast tacos, carnitas tacos, and a variety of pastries.
Founded in 1999, Jo’s Coffee has become an Austin landmark, especially its South Congress location, where the famous neon green wall with the “I Love You So Much” mural attracts visitors from around the world. The mural has become a favorite backdrop for photos and social media posts.
