GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – As summer officially begins on June 20th, Dunkin’ has announced a special initiative to mark the occasion: Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day. On this day, participating Dunkin’ locations will donate $1 from every iced coffee sold to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.
The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, committed to bringing joy to children facing illness or hunger, will allocate 100% of the funds raised on Iced Coffee Day towards grants for programming at local children’s hospitals across the country.
Since its inception, Iced Coffee Day has raised over $3.5 million for the Foundation, which has distributed more than $50 million to numerous national and local charities.
Victor Carvalho, Dunkin’ franchisee and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, expressed gratitude for the support, stating, “As millions of children nationwide battle illnesses, we are honored to bring moments of joy to them and their families. Every iced coffee purchased on June 20th will make a significant difference in brightening their lives.”
The grants provided by the Foundation have facilitated year-round child life programming, encompassing art, music, gaming, and integrated therapy programs. Notably, the Foundation’s Dogs for Joy program has also supported facility dogs, enhancing therapeutic experiences for children.
In conjunction with Iced Coffee Day, Dunkin’ will release a limited-edition iced-coffee inspired iPhone case, available for purchase starting at 12 p.m. ET on June 20th at ShopDunkin.com. Priced at $15, all proceeds from the sale of these cases will be donated to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.
This initiative by Dunkin’ not only celebrates the onset of summer but also underscores its commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves, particularly among children facing health challenges.
