In response to safety concerns, over 580,000 units of JoyJolt Declan single-wall glass coffee mugs, popularly sold on Amazon and the company’s website, are being recalled. The recall, announced by JoyJolt in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, comes after reports of the mugs breaking when exposed to hot liquids, resulting in nearly five dozen injuries.
The affected mugs, sold as sets of six, have been on the market from September 2019 to May 2022. The company disclosed that the breakages primarily occurred at the base of the mugs, though it did not specify the exact cause behind the issue.
JoyJolt has urged consumers who purchased these mugs to visit their website and complete a form to initiate a full refund. This proactive measure aims to address safety concerns and ensure customer satisfaction amid the recall.
