Vietnam’s Coffee Prices Surge Amid Decline in UK Exports

by Jessica

In the first half of 2024, the average export price of Vietnamese coffee to the United Kingdom surged to $3,941 per tonne, representing a dramatic 68.4% increase compared to the previous year.

Data from the General Department of Customs reveals that Vietnam stands as the second-largest coffee supplier to the UK. However, coffee exports from Vietnam to the UK saw a notable decline in June 2024, with shipments totaling 2.18 thousand tonnes valued at $9.1 million. This marks a significant decrease of 44.6% in volume and 17.5% in value from June 2023, which has contributed to the steep rise in coffee prices.
