Japanese Coffee Chain % Arabica Launches Pop-Up in Downtown Vancouver

by Jessica

Coffee enthusiasts in Vancouver, rejoice! % Arabica, the celebrated Japanese coffee chain renowned for its minimalist design and premium brews, has discreetly opened a pop-up location in downtown Vancouver.

The unassuming pop-up, situated within the Oakridge Park Gallery near the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel, was first hinted at by a local resident (@0370van) earlier this month. The rumor was confirmed when another community member (@likebyregina) shared the exciting news with Noms Magazine.

Vancouver’s new pop-up offers a convenient alternative to the Whistler Village store, which debuted in July and was the first % Arabica location in British Columbia. Now, residents can savor the brand’s renowned coffee without venturing to the mountains.

The pop-up is a compact, glass-encased structure nestled in the back of the Oakridge Park Gallery. Although limited in size, it mirrors % Arabica’s signature clean lines and minimalist aesthetic, highlighted by the brand’s glowing logo.

The menu features an array of % Arabica’s popular espresso drinks, including the Kyoto Latte, Spanish Latte, and Maple Latte, available both hot and iced. Additionally, customers can enjoy matcha lattes and sparkling lemonade.

Despite its small size, the pop-up offers branded merchandise and coffee beans for purchase. Note, however, that pastries are not available.

Staff have indicated that the pop-up is in its soft opening phase and may remain operational until September 16th, although this has not been officially confirmed. The exterior windows of the Oakridge Park Gallery display promotional signage for % Arabica, but the opening has not been formally announced.

According to the staff, the pop-up will operate daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. However, the Oakridge Park Gallery’s website lists its official hours as 12 PM to 5 PM, so visitors may need to check in advance to confirm opening times.

For those eager to experience Japan’s most stylish coffee brand without traveling to Whistler, this pop-up offers a convenient opportunity. Share this news with fellow coffee aficionados!
