Dunkin’ Introduces “Dunkalatte,” Spotlighting New England’s Coffee Milk

Largely unfamiliar outside of New England, “coffee milk” has gained attention this fall with Dunkin’s launch of the limited-time “Dunkalatte.” This unique beverage blends coffee milk with espresso, setting it apart from a traditional latte, which typically features just a milk base and espresso.

Dunkin’ faced the challenge of not only marketing the Dunkalatte across the United States but also educating consumers about the concept of coffee milk. “When we first created the Dunkalatte, we knew we had something special on our hands, but introducing coffee milk, an unfamiliar concept to most, was a challenge,” said Jill McVicar Nelson, chief marketing officer at Dunkin’, in a statement to Fox News Digital.

The introduction of coffee milk in the Dunkalatte even sparked excitement among politicians. Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee (D) shared a “galaxy brain” meme on X in late August, suggesting that the fusion of coffee milk and Dunkin’s iced coffee represented the “largest brain” idea. Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey (D) responded by quoting McKee’s post, adding, “The non-New England mind cannot comprehend this.”
