A new drive-through coffee shop could soon open in Penn Township, with 7 Brew Coffee, a national chain, proposing to build at the site of a former Burger King in Hanover.
The location, located at 1160 Carlisle Street, was previously home to a Burger King until its closure in early 2023. Since then, the property has remained vacant.
During a recent meeting of the Penn Township Planning Commission, a final land development plan was submitted by Toth and Associates for a new 7 Brew Coffee stand. While the proposal was listed on the meeting agenda, it was not discussed or reviewed at that time.
Founded in 2017 in Rogers, Arkansas, 7 Brew Coffee operates a rapidly growing network of “stands,” which are compact, drive-through-only coffee shops. As of now, the chain has expanded to over 291 locations across the U.S., including two in Pennsylvania.
The company’s business model focuses on speed and efficiency, with many locations offering multiple drive-through lanes and a streamlined menu. 7 Brew Coffee is known for its extensive range of custom drink combinations, with more than 20,000 options available. The menu also highlights a variety of sugar-free choices, a feature often praised in online reviews.
As part of its expansion into the region, 7 Brew Coffee recently opened a new location in Red Lion, York County, on Cape Horn Road earlier this year.
