Metrojaya has officially opened its new flagship store in Kuala Lumpur’s Mid-Valley Megamall after six months of renovations. The redesigned store reflects the brand’s modern approach to lifestyle merchandise and offers a fresh shopping experience.
Spanning 2,787.09 sqm on a single floor, the store features an impressive range of 51 brands, alongside Metrojaya’s in-house labels, including East India Company (EIC), Somerset Bay, Cape Cod, and Living Quarters. The merchandise covers fashion for men, women, and children, as well as home goods.
For those who enjoy a coffee or a treat, Lusso Cafe is available, offering both coffee and gelato. The store also includes a customer lounge, complete with a private fitting room and washroom.
To celebrate the grand opening, Metrojaya hosted a fashion show showcasing the latest collections from EIC, Indie Batik, Cape Cod, Somerset Bay, and Benjamin Barker.
MUI Group Chairman and CEO Andrew Khoo highlighted the store’s innovative features. “With the launch of this Metrojaya flagship, we are setting the standard in store design, carefully curating and developing brands that create a unique atmosphere,” Khoo said. “Our goal is to offer a shopping experience that blends quality, style, and innovation.”
Metrojaya operates five stores and five specialty outlets under the EIC brand, which includes its recently launched Indie Batik label. This year, the group also opened its 11th EIC store at Sunway Pyramid Oasis in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
In addition to its retail expansion, Metrojaya has entered joint ventures with Singaporean brands Kskin, a chain of Korean express facial studios, and Benjamin Barker, a smart menswear label.
The store opening also aligns with Metrojaya’s ongoing commitment to community initiatives. In support of Pink October, the company partnered with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
