Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – HIB, through its subsidiary Global Aroma Sdn Bhd (GASB), has entered into a strategic partnership with Luckin Coffee Holding Singapore Pte Ltd to introduce the popular coffee brand to Malaysia.
In an official statement, HIB announced that GASB has secured exclusive rights to develop, open, and manage Luckin Coffee outlets across the country. This collaboration marks a significant step in expanding the Luckin Coffee brand internationally.
According to the statement, GASB plans to open several Luckin Coffee stores across Malaysia by the first quarter of 2025.
Datuk Eddie Ong, the major shareholder of HIB, expressed confidence that this partnership would bring substantial growth opportunities. He described the launch as a major milestone for HIB.
“This partnership is a strategic investment that will bring excellent returns. Luckin Coffee’s impressive growth story inspires us to expand rapidly and replicate its success here in Malaysia,” said Ong. “This venture not only enhances our portfolio but also taps into Malaysia’s thriving food and beverage market. We believe this will be a profitable move for both Luckin Coffee and local consumers.”
Dr. Jeff Lim Chee Lip, CEO of GASB, also shared his excitement about the brand’s future in Malaysia. “Our goal is to make Luckin Coffee a household name across the country,” he said. “We are committed to offering an outstanding coffee experience that resonates with Malaysian consumers.”
