Shaftesbury Capital has announced that Nagare Coffee, an Asian-inspired artisanal café, will soon open its doors in Soho. The café will occupy a 1,300 sq ft space at 2 Newburgh Street, just off Carnaby Street, marking its first location in London’s West End.
Set to launch this December, Nagare Coffee offers a distinctive approach to the coffee experience. The name “Nagare,” which means “flow” in Japanese, reflects the café’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship. It focuses on premium single-origin beans, featuring a variety of hand-filtered coffees sourced globally.
Dora Lau, Co-Owner of Nagare Coffee, expressed excitement about the new location. “Nagare Coffee is the perfect café for the vibrant neighbourhood of Soho, bringing artisan practices and produce that will resonate with visitors,” she said. “Hospitality plays a huge role in the Carnaby Street and Soho experience, and we can’t wait to embed ourselves in this iconic destination. This is the ideal spot to grow our reputation and reach an informed, appreciative audience.”
The café’s opening comes on the heels of another exciting addition to Soho’s culinary scene. La Maritxu, a specialist Basque cheesecake vendor, recently opened at 10 Kingly Street, offering their signature cheesecakes with a caramelised exterior and creamy center.
These new openings highlight Soho’s evolving food and beverage landscape, reinforcing its reputation as a hub for innovative and high-quality dining experiences.
