Well & Good Expands with New Coffee Shop at Thompson and South Road

by Jessica

A fresh spot for coffee, breakfast, and lunch has opened at the corner of Thompson and South Road. Brandon Mosser, owner of Well & Good in Tigard, decided it was time to expand and has transformed the space, formerly home to Gallagher Designs and Aurora Coffee, into a welcoming café with a clean, modern vibe.

The new café serves a variety of coffee drinks made with beans from Sisters Coffee, alongside house-made pastries. Breakfast options, available until 2 p.m., include waffles, sandwiches, burritos, biscuits, and avocado toast. For lunch, the menu features grilled ciabatta sandwiches with ham, turkey, or cheese, paired with house-made pesto, Italian, or red pepper sauces.

The building, originally Helen’s Grocery, is owned by Bonny Slope neighbor Nick Olson and his partners. After Aurora Coffee closed earlier this year, the space drew five offers. The partners chose Mosser for his proven experience and business model.

Mosser and his team took possession of the keys on September 21 and worked tirelessly to transform the space before its November 15 opening. The updates included adapting the kitchen and serving counter and creating multiple seating areas for customers to enjoy. A special addition is the “Well & Good Junior” room, a tiny space under the stairway designed for the café’s youngest visitors.

“We aim to provide a top-notch experience for every customer,” said Mosser. “We train our baristas and encourage a friendly and cheerful attitude.” The café is also actively accepting applications to ensure it remains well-staffed.

With its inviting atmosphere and thoughtfully crafted menu, Well & Good’s newest location promises to become a neighborhood favorite in Bonny Slope.
