BELLEFONTE, PA — A beloved local mobile coffee business, Bees Knees Coffee, is expanding to open a new café in downtown Bellefonte. Shaky Hands Coffee Shop is set to open its doors in March at 106 W. Bishop St.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the business shared the exciting news: “This has been a loooooong awaited announcement, and while we’re still finalizing the opening date, we’re happy to let you know that you’ll soon be able to sit comfortably and enjoy your coffee or treat with us.”
The new café will bring all the fan-favorite items that Bees Knees Coffee is known for, including its signature drinks, baked goods, and vibrant atmosphere. The shop will continue to serve its house roast from Cafe Lemont, along with a rotating selection of coffees roasted throughout Pennsylvania, available both to drink in the shop and for purchase as whole beans or ground.
The menu will feature a variety of baked goods, breakfast and lunch items, and comforting soups. The café will offer interior seating, as well as an outdoor space for customers to enjoy during the warmer months. Additionally, Shaky Hands Coffee Shop plans to showcase artwork from local Pennsylvania artists and host community events like game nights, music, and more.
Bromlyn Fitzgerald, the owner behind Bees Knees Coffee, first launched the business in 2020 with a mobile trailer, delivery service, and a pickup window in Pleasant Gap. Fitzgerald previously operated the Daily Dose Café at Geisinger Grays Woods since 2015.
Shaky Hands Coffee Shop aims to provide a welcoming space for all, furthering the community-centered mission Bees Knees Coffee has built.
