Dark Horse Espresso, one of Toronto’s most beloved independent coffee shops, has expanded to Hamilton, opening its first location in the city. The new cafe occupies the former Starbucks space inside the Indigo bookstore at 1783 Stone Church Road East in Stoney Creek.
As expected from this popular cafe, visitors can find a variety of artisanal coffee and espresso drinks here, including lattes, Americanos, and cortados, as well as teas, grab-and-go sandwiches, and coffee brewing equipment. The cafe also offers a variety of baked goods from Hamilton’s Dear Grain Bakery, including croissants, cookies, scones, and more.
The Hamilton Hill and Stoney Creek area lacks many independent coffee shops, so the arrival of Dark Horse Espresso is a welcome addition to the local coffee scene.
