On Thursday, Dec. 12, the Ormond Beach Planning Board will review a proposal for SunBros Coffee at 14 S. Yonge St. The application, submitted by Dan Sundell of SunBros Cafe in Flagler Beach, seeks approval to demolish the current building and build a 250-square-foot drive-thru coffee shop on the site of the former Massey Auto Brokers property.
To move forward with the plan, Sundell needs approval for two waivers: one for landscaping requirements and another for building wall signage standards. The property also does not meet the city’s Land Development Code, which mandates a minimum lot width of 100 feet. This property is only 50 feet wide.
The Planning Board will also review a request for a zoning map amendment and development order for a proposed 31-lot subdivision on a 50-acre parcel located north of West Granada Boulevard and east of Shadow Crossings Boulevard.
