In 2017, Robert Ramirez and his daughters, Celisa Ramirez and Briana Fontenot, launched Calle Coffee, a mobile coffee truck that quickly became a community staple. Robert credits Celisa with the idea to take their coffee business on the road, creating a unique experience for customers in the Tucson area.
The name “Calle Coffee” reflects their philosophy: “Mi calle es su calle,” meaning “my street is your street.” The family’s mission is to bring great coffee to people wherever they are, and to connect with the community.
“We meet a lot of nice people, and that’s one of the best perks of having a coffee shop,” Robert said.
Calle Coffee’s vibrant teal truck is easy to spot on Ajo Highway, right next to the Speedway Gas station. They serve coffee Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., unless they are out hosting special events.
