Specialty coffee chain Black Sheep Coffee has opened its latest store on Edgware Road, backed by a six-figure funding package from HSBC UK. The new 1,486 sq. ft. coffeehouse features a wide range of food and drinks, with a focus on specialty robusta coffee, and offers seating for up to 62 customers.
The opening has also created nine full-time and part-time jobs in the local community. The new staff underwent extensive training over the past few weeks to ensure a high standard of service for customers.
As part of its successful franchise model, the Edgware Road location adds to Black Sheep Coffee’s growing portfolio, which now includes over 100 stores across the UK. The chain is currently the fourth largest coffee operator in the country.
Virutthasalam Prabhakaran, Director of the new Black Sheep Coffee store on Edgware Road, expressed his enthusiasm about the opening, saying, “With the support of HSBC UK, I’m excited to be part of the incredible growth of Black Sheep Coffee. We look forward to welcoming customers to enjoy our delicious range of food and beverages.”
Campbell Chisholm, Relationship Manager at HSBC UK, also shared his excitement, commenting, “It’s been a pleasure supporting the latest Black Sheep Coffee opening in the UK. The new store will be a fantastic addition for both residents and visitors of Edgware Road.”
