Hoa Phat Group, Vietnam’s leading steel manufacturer, has launched a new coffee shop, H.A.Y, at its Hanoi office on Tuesday. Located at 66 Nguyen Du Street, the coffee shop offers “super affordable” prices, according to a company statement.
The development of H.A.Y took just three months to complete. The coffee shop’s main purpose is to provide a space where staff can host guests, collaborate on internal projects, and unwind. It is designed to enhance the workplace environment and improve employee convenience.
The name “H.A.Y” stands for “HPG Around You,” with HPG being the abbreviation for Hoa Phat Group and its trading symbol on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.
As an internal amenity, the prices for food and beverages at H.A.Y are notably lower than those at nearby establishments, making it an attractive option for employees.
In recent years, many large corporations, including Hoa Phat, have adopted the trend of opening in-house cafes and restaurants to better serve their staff. This model helps employees save time while enjoying reasonably priced, high-quality food and drinks right at their workplace. These spaces also provide convenient venues for meetings with clients and partners.
Hoa Phat Group, established in 1992, is a major industrial conglomerate in Vietnam. Originally focused on trading construction machinery, it has since expanded into multiple sectors, including furniture, steel pipes, construction steel, refrigeration, real estate, and agriculture.
Hoa Phat Group’s shares have been listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange since November 15, 2007, under the symbol HPG. On Wednesday, HPG shares closed at VND27,150 ($1.07) each.
