Tim Hortons has introduced its premium Signature store concept in Malaysia with the opening of a new outlet in the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. This marks a significant step in the Canadian coffee chain’s expansion in Southeast Asia.
The launch follows Tim Hortons’ debut in Malaysia in August 2024, through a partnership with Singapore-based franchisee Marubeni Growth Capital Asia. The company aims to open 100 outlets across the country by the end of 2025.
The new store, located at Sunway Pyramid, promises an elevated coffeehouse experience with a focus on specialty coffee beverages and a premium food menu. Highlights include artisanal sourdough melts and pasta dishes, designed to offer a more refined dining experience for customers.
In addition to its upscale offerings, the store features a craft bar serving single-origin coffees from Colombia and Mexico, which can be enjoyed using various brewing methods, including Kyoto-style slow drip, Chemex, and V60 pour-over techniques.
Tim Hortons and Marubeni Growth Capital Asia previously launched the first global Signature store in Singapore at the 313@Somerset shopping centre in August 2024. This concept is now expanding, bringing a more premium coffee culture to the region.
