The small Costa Coffee shop at Southmead will close for refurbishment starting on Saturday, January 4, 2025. The outlet, located opposite the main entrance of the Brunel Building, will be closed while work takes place.
Hoarding will be set up on Sunday, January 5, and construction will begin on Monday, January 6.
During the closure, other retail services in the Brunel Building will remain open, including the larger Costa Coffee outlet, M&S Food, the League of Friends coffee shop, and the Willow Café near the Maternity Services.
This refurbishment is part of a larger effort to upgrade the retail facilities within the Brunel Building. The larger Costa outlet underwent renovations in September 2024, and a new M&S Food and bakery opened in Southmead last month. The refurbished smaller Costa shop is expected to reopen by the end of January.
