ZUS Coffee, Malaysia’s largest coffee chain operator, is set to open its second location in Singapore at the Westgate shopping mall. According to Singapore news site Mothership, the new outlet will open this month, following the brand’s debut in Singapore last October with a store at Changi Airport Terminal 4.
Founded in late 2019, ZUS Coffee has rapidly grown to become Malaysia’s biggest coffee chain, with 566 outlets as of September 2024. This expansion has surpassed the number of stores operated by U.S. coffee giant Starbucks, which currently has 411 locations in Malaysia, as reported by Nikkei Asia. In the 2023 fiscal year, ZUS Coffee recorded revenues of 200 million ringgit (approximately US$44.5 million).
In addition to its Singapore expansion, ZUS Coffee has also established a presence in other Southeast Asian markets, with 52 stores in the Philippines and a newly opened outlet in Brunei, which launched in November 2024.
