Lotte Group’s convenience store chain, Seven Eleven, announced the release of its new “Seven Select Good Americano Black” on January 14. Priced under 1,000 won, this pouch-type product aims to offer an affordable option for coffee lovers amid rising prices.
The drink, which targets consumers in their 20s and 30s, is designed for winter, especially appealing to fans of ice americano. Despite the cold, the drink is marketed as a refreshing choice, even in freezing temperatures. The product features Brazilian coffee beans combined with Ethiopian drip coffee extract, offering a 230ml serving at a price about 40% lower than similar products.
Seven Eleven explained that the price reduction was a deliberate effort to help ease the financial burden on consumers, who are feeling the effects of ongoing “coffee inflation.”
To celebrate the product’s launch, Seven Eleven will hold an ice cup giveaway for customers who purchase the Good Americano Black from January 15 to January 22.
