A group of young siblings from Sacramento decided to take action and support those impacted by the wildfires in Southern California by hosting a coffee stand.
Harper, the youngest of the group, sold coffee and muffins alongside her brothers, knowing that every little bit would make a difference. Harper’s father, Steve, shared that she first learned about the wildfires from the news and wanted to contribute in any way she could.
“Afterwards, she felt great about it. She looked at me and said, ‘Dad, that felt really good to do,'” Steve recalled.
In partnership with KCRA, the American Red Cross is hosting a telethon to raise funds for those affected by the 2025 California wildfires. Harper proudly donated the money she raised at the telethon.
“It felt really good to donate the money that people needed,” Harper told KCRA.
