CTRL Coffee and Cereal Bar opened its doors on Monday at the corner of 14th Street and Pine Lake Road in Lincoln, offering a fresh twist on breakfast food and entertainment.
The bar, which was previously located in Omaha before closing in August, features a variety of cereals, toppings, and milk options. It also offers an array of coffee choices, along with natural energy drinks. Customers can even have pictures printed on their lattes.
The owners are excited to make the experience more enjoyable with retro video game systems available for free play. Jenny Maestas, co-owner of CTRL Coffee and Cereal Bar, shared that the games bring a sense of nostalgia, especially for families. “It’s a nice place where people can bring their kids and show them the games they grew up playing. It’s a family-friendly spot,” she said.
The bar operates Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on weekends from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
With its location in a high-traffic area near schools, the owners hope to attract more customers and increase sales compared to their previous Omaha location.
