Tom Parker Creamery, known for its high-quality free-range creams and flavored whole milks, is launching a new range of ready-to-drink iced coffees called The Guv’nor. The range, which includes three flavors—Original, Mocha, and Caramel—will be available at Ocado starting 27th January. Each 500ml bottle is priced at £2.50.
The branding of The Guv’nor pays tribute to the founder, Tom Parker, affectionately known as “The Guv’nor.” Parker began farming in 1921 with just 14 cows and delivered milk from his horse-drawn cart. Despite the business’s success, he remained humble, always referring to himself as “the local milkman.”
Rob Yates, CEO of Tom Parker, said, “The cold coffee RTD category presents a significant opportunity for retailers, as it’s one of the key growth drivers in the UK coffee sector. This category resonates with Gen Z consumers, who prefer RTD cold coffee for its convenience, energy boost, and innovative qualities.”
Yates continued, “The Guv’nor Iced Coffee range is designed to offer busy coffee lovers an accessible, natural, and delicious drink that embodies character, style, and great taste in every sip.”
The UK coffee market is worth over £1.6 billion, with more than 24 million households purchasing coffee, according to Kantar. The British Coffee Association reports that the UK consumes 98 million cups of coffee daily, and Mintel forecasts the market could reach £2.17 billion by 2028.
