Coffee Island, a popular Greek café chain, has opened its first location in India in partnership with Vita Nova, with plans for further expansion. The new café is set to introduce a range of specialty coffee drinks to the Indian market, developed with input from Sunalini Menon, Asia’s first “coffee lady,” and Coffee Island’s research and development team.
The menu will feature a variety of unique beverages, including Spanish Bombon, Mocha Espressione, Coffeeccino, Freddo Espresso Ristretto, Signature Iced Latte, Vietnamese Shakerato, Proffees, and Bumble Coffee, catering to India’s growing demand for premium coffee experiences.
Konstantinos Konstantinopoulos, CEO of Coffee Island, sees India’s vibrant coffee culture as an exciting opportunity for expansion. “The country’s increasing demand for high-quality coffee experiences presents a compelling chance for growth. While we focus on strategic expansion, our core goal is to offer exceptional coffee quality at affordable prices nationwide,” he said. He also emphasized the company’s vision to bring European coffee culture to India and provide the same high standards that have made Coffee Island a trusted name globally over the past 25 years.
A standout feature of the launch is an exclusive loyalty program, designed to enhance customer engagement and reward loyal patrons. The company is also offering a range of retail products, including cold brews, instant coffee, iced tea, and pourovers, allowing customers to enjoy the Coffee Island experience at home or on the go.
Coffee Island plans to open 20 outlets by March 2026 and aims to grow to 250 locations by 2029. The initial rollout will begin in Delhi, with further expansion planned for other major cities such as Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
