A Swansea coffee shop is making it easy for the community to give back and help a local family in need. Aroma Joe’s, located at 755 Grand Army of the Republic Highway, will host a special fundraiser on February 15 to support the Stark family, who are facing significant medical challenges.
The Stark family, who were featured during this year’s Holiday Wish Week, has been navigating difficult times after their two sons, Liam and Dominic, were diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. Their condition leaves them vulnerable to infections, as their immune systems cannot fight off common illnesses. The family has been struggling with mounting medical bills, as insurance companies often deny coverage for essential treatments prescribed by doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital.
The fundraiser is simple: just order a beverage at Aroma Joe’s, and $1 from every drink sold will go directly to the Stark family to help cover their medical expenses. The event will run all day on Saturday, February 17, and everyone is encouraged to come out, show support, and make a difference.
“Please join us as we come together for this strong family,” said a spokesperson for the coffee shop. “Your presence, donations, and generosity will make a world of difference for the Starks.”
In addition to the beverage fundraiser, cash donations will also be accepted throughout the day. The community is urged to show up and lend a hand to a family that could use all the help they can get.
