New Jersey coffee lovers can now experience a taste of Hawaii without the need for a plane ticket. Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii opened its first-ever New Jersey location on January 22, right on Hackensack’s Main Street. The café focuses on serving Hawaiian-grown coffee, and according to the company’s Facebook page, the “vibes are badass.”
Founded in Hawaii in 1989, Bad Ass Coffee expanded to the mainland in the 1990s. Until now, the closest locations to New Jersey were in states like Alabama, Arizona, California, and Florida, among others. So, this new Hackensack spot is a rare treat for local coffee enthusiasts.
The café takes pride in offering a variety of Hawaiian coffee blends. The unique weather conditions on the islands—perfectly balanced temperatures, rainfall, sun, and shade—create coffee beans with a mild taste and low acidity, according to the company’s website.
For those in Bergen County, this is a must-visit destination to savor authentic Hawaiian coffee.
