Melbourne International Coffee Expo Launches New Festival for Coffee Enthusiasts
The Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) has teamed up with Breville, a leading domestic coffee equipment manufacturer, to introduce the Melbourne Coffee Festival at this year’s event. The festival will take place from March 20 to 22 and aims to bring together home brewers and coffee professionals to learn from industry experts and improve their coffee-making skills.
Lauren Chartres, the MICE Show Director, expressed excitement about the launch, saying, “We know how much Australian home brewers care about crafting the perfect cup of coffee. This new section is designed to meet their needs, answer their questions, and offer baristas a chance to refine their techniques.”
The collaboration with Breville aims to give coffee enthusiasts the tools they need to achieve professional results at home. “There’s a wealth of information available, but nothing beats learning directly from professionals in an environment that fosters curiosity and collaboration,” Chartres added.
The Melbourne Coffee Festival will feature a demonstration stage where attendees can explore the latest coffee equipment, watch expert-led tutorials, and participate in hands-on tastings. A mirrored glass backdrop will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the espresso machine, ensuring that no details are missed.
Candi Hart, Breville’s General Manager of Marketing & Specialty Coffee for Australia, highlighted the importance of espresso in the brand’s product range, saying, “There’s no better place to celebrate espresso than at MICE. This event allows us to connect with Australia’s passionate coffee community and demonstrate how our products help coffee lovers, both at home and in cafés, achieve barista-quality results.”
