Buggy Town Coffee has been a staple in Carthage for a decade. Darryl Russell and his wife, Meg, took over the building that was previously Moore Coffee. “We were completely different, so it may have thrown some folks off at first, but we’re proud of how we do coffee,” says Russell.
In 2018, Buggy Town Coffee made a significant shift by beginning to roast its own beans. This hands-on process has become a key part of the business, with Russell spending two to three days a week dedicated to roasting.
