Golden Gate, the operator of restaurant chains such as Kichi Kichi, Gogi House, and Manwah, has reportedly acquired The Coffee House beverage chain from Seedcom. The deal was first reported by Singaporean financial news site DealStreetAsia on Wednesday. However, Seedcom has yet to issue an official statement confirming or denying the acquisition.
According to a source who spoke with VnExpress, the acquisition took place last December, around the same time Golden Gate held an extraordinary shareholders meeting. During the meeting, the company decided to cancel its planned dividend distribution and instead allocate the funds toward significant projects and expansion efforts for 2024 and 2025, both in Vietnam and internationally.
Golden Gate believes that this acquisition will lay a strong foundation for future growth and breakthrough developments.
