Exchange Coffee, located on Vardon Avenue in Adelaide’s east end, has been ranked #37 in the prestigious World’s Top 100 Coffee Shops list. The café now stands proudly among top contenders from the Netherlands and Korea, a remarkable achievement attributed to the hard work and dedication of its team, led by owner PJ Tebyanian.
For PJ, the news came as a shock at first, even wondering if it was some sort of scam. It wasn’t until a month later, when he was invited to Madrid to accept the award, that he fully grasped the significance of the recognition. “Then it seemed pretty legitimate,” PJ recalls.
While the judging process is anonymous, PJ credits the team’s unwavering commitment to quality and consistency in both coffee and food, as well as the overall customer experience, for their success. “It’s credit to all of our staff here,” PJ says. “They put a lot of effort into creating the atmosphere here.”
This award highlights the café’s commitment to excellence and underscores Exchange Coffee’s place among the world’s finest.
