% Arabica, the popular Japanese coffee brand known for its high-quality coffee and sleek interiors, is set to open its first café in Mississauga at Square One Shopping Centre. While the brand has not yet formally announced the opening, the shopping centre included it in a press release last fall, listing it as one of the new stores coming soon.
The brand, which already has over 160 locations worldwide, is praised for its obsessive focus on coffee quality and sophisticated design. Square One’s press release highlighted the café as a “showstopper,” and excitement is building around the new addition.
Although the exact opening date is still unknown, there are signs that it’s approaching, with a barista job posting on Indeed for the new location. The posting confirms that the café is not yet open, but the hiring process suggests the opening is imminent.
% Arabica was founded by Kenneth Shoji in Kyoto, Japan, with the simple goal of creating “an amazing cup of coffee every day.” The brand offers a selection of hot and cold espresso drinks, including Americano, caffe latte, Kyoto Latte, dark latte (with chocolate), and Spanish latte, as well as a variety of pastries.
