Toby’s Estate has earned the prestigious title of the world’s best coffee shop at the inaugural The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops Gala, held at CoffeeFest in Madrid, Spain.
The Australian specialty coffee chain’s flagship café and roastery in Chippendale, Sydney, claimed the top spot, recognized for its excellence in coffee quality, barista skills, customer service, innovation, sustainability, ambiance, and consistency.
“We’re thrilled with this recognition as it reflects the dedication and hard work of our team,” said Jody Leslie, general manager of Toby’s Estate Australia. “Coffee is at the core of everything we do.”
The brand, which has expanded internationally, first entered the Philippine market over a decade ago through a franchise driven by four entrepreneurs passionate about delivering high-quality coffee.
“This award is a huge milestone for us,” said Marcel Crespo, a key figure behind Toby’s Estate Philippines. “It’s a testament to our team’s dedication and reflects how coffee lovers worldwide resonate with our passion for quality and sustainability.”
Toby’s Estate has played a pivotal role in shaping the specialty coffee industry in the Philippines, earning recognition as a preferred choice among local consumers. The partnership between Toby’s Estate Australia and Toby’s Estate Philippines ensures that the same high standards are maintained.
Operating 14 branches across Metro Manila, including locations in Ortigas, Bonifacio Global City, and Makati, Toby’s Estate Philippines also supplies wholesale coffee to various establishments. The company plans to send local baristas to Australia for advanced training.
