A growing drive-thru coffee chain is set to make its debut in the State College area.
The College Township Council reviewed the final land development plan for 7 Brew Coffee’s proposed shop at 1919 S. Atherton Street in the Hills Plaza. The 540-square-foot coffee stand, along with a 230-square-foot remote cooler, will replace 48 existing parking spaces near Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, between Kish and First National banks.
Founded in Rogers, Arkansas, 7 Brew Coffee specializes in beverages only, offering a menu that includes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, Italian sodas, smoothies, shakes, and energy drinks. The shop does not serve food or have indoor seating, but it does accept walk-up orders—primarily from first responders, who receive a 50% discount.
The store will feature a dual-lane drive-thru without a traditional speaker box. Instead, employees will take orders directly from customers using iPads, ensuring a more personalized experience. After placing their orders, customers pull forward, and staff deliver drinks to their vehicles.
To protect employees from the weather, the shop will include a canopy, and staff will be provided with heavy coats, rain gear, and outdoor heaters during colder months. Workers will also rotate shifts regularly to maintain comfort in different conditions.
The expansion into State College marks another step in 7 Brew’s rapid growth as it continues bringing its unique drive-thru coffee experience to new markets.
