San Antonio’s St. Paul Square is welcoming a new coffee shop as El Tigre prepares for its official grand opening this weekend.
Although the café held a soft opening last month, the official celebration is set for Saturday, March 15. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests can enjoy a cumbia fiesta featuring local DJs and a vendor market with food and clothing vendors.
Led by restaurateur Tatanka Guerrero, El Tigre expands into San Antonio from its flagship location in Austin. According to a news release, Guerrero aims to use the café as a platform for inclusive programming that will shape the district’s cultural scene in the coming months.
El Tigre’s new San Antonio location is at 123 Heiman Street.
