KoKo Coffee, a popular local coffee shop, is expanding its presence with a new location at 226 Causeway St, in the heart of Boston’s North Station area. The café will take over the space previously occupied by Equal Exchange Café and is set to open in April 2025.
This new North Station location will be KoKo Coffee’s largest to date, offering 18 indoor and outdoor seats. The café will feature KoKo’s signature offerings, including freshly brewed coffee paired with house-made syrups like honey cinnamon and vanilla, along with a variety of French-inspired pastries, sandwiches, bagels, and bowls. Founder Daud Kyarizov also teased exciting new additions as the café settles into its new space.
Kyarizov, originally from Turkmenistan, brings a deeply personal story to his brand. Having endured political and social upheaval, he became a Human Rights Defender for Turkmenistan citizens. This experience shaped his values and resilience, ultimately guiding his entrepreneurial path.
Though KoKo Coffee officially opened its doors in 2022, Kyarizov’s passion for coffee began earlier, growing from a small mobile coffee operation during the pandemic into a successful business. With the addition of the North Station location, KoKo Coffee continues to build on its mission to unite people over quality coffee. This café joins two other KoKo locations by the Boston waterfront and in South Boston.
