The Lautoka Botanical Garden will soon have a new coffee shop, with final electrical work underway before its official opening, according to Lautoka City Council CEO Mohammed Anees Khan.
Once operational, the café will offer food and beverages while also serving as a venue for parties and special events.
“The council will open the coffee shop project once electrical work is completed,” Khan stated.
He emphasized that the café would provide an additional revenue stream for the council.
“This will not only generate rental income but also offer a unique coffee and dining experience in a peaceful, green setting,” he said.
To ensure the best operation, the council reopened its tender process in January, inviting experienced coffee shop or restaurant operators to lease and manage the new establishment.
