Costa to Close Stockton High Street Location After a Decade
Costa Coffee has announced the closure of its Stockton High Street branch after more than 10 years in operation. The coffee shop, located at 39 High Street, will permanently close on May 31.
The franchise-owned store first opened in August 2014, launched by then-Mayor Councillor Barbara Inman. A Costa spokesperson confirmed that all employees will have the opportunity to transfer to nearby locations, including Teesside Park, Portrack Lane, Yarm, and the University Hospital of North Tees.
While the closure marks the end of a longstanding presence on the High Street, Costa Express machines will still be available across Stockton’s supermarkets and convenience stores for those looking to grab a quick coffee.
